RICHARD SPINK (born 24 Sept 1815; Knaresborough, Yorkshire), Enlisted in London 25 Aug 1835 for services in the East India Company´s Madras Artillery, aged 21 years.  Embarked for Madras on the ´City of Edinburgh´, posted on arrival as a Gunner, 3rd Btn. Madras Artillery. Sub-Conductor (Warrant-Officer II) 30 June 1857, on duty at Ragoon.  Conductor (W:O:I) 15 December 1862, returned to Madras 1869, Deputy Assistant-Commissary 20 March 1875, Honorary Lieutenant 7 July 1875.  Died 5 November 1877, Madras.,  married Mary Anne ??, Children:

1. Sarah Spink (Born 9 Sep 1846 Madras, Tamil Nadu)
2. Anna Louisa Spink (Born 5 Sep 1850, Mercaras, Tamil Nadu)

1. JENNIFER BROMLEY (b 1973) at Luton and Dunstable Hospital, Luton, Bedforshire, married WAYNE NOLAN (b 1969) on the 13 September 2003 at St Margarets Chruch, Streatley, England. They had 2 children: Ruby Mae Nolan (b 2005) at Luton and Dunstable Hospital, Luton, Bedfordshire, and Felix Thomas Nolan (Born 7 November 2007) at Luton and Dunstable Hospital, Luton, Bedfordshire
2. SARAH BROMLEY (b 1975) at Luton and Dunstable Hospital, Luton, Bedfordshire, married DARREN GILCHRIEST on the 28th June 2008 at Greenwich Register Office and had their blessing on the 6th September at LÄbbaye-Chateau de Camon, France. They have one child: POPPY INDIA TALLULAH GILCHRIEST (b 2009 at Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Woolwich, London.)
