I was born in Malaysia in the year 1942,migrated to Australia in 1986, my grandparents came from India to Malaya in the late 1800,trying to get info on my great grand father Peter Fredericks who i believe was in the merchant navy based in Nagapattinam south of Madras, his father was also in the merchant navy, it would be appreciated if any one could come up with some sort of info on the Fredericks. Searching for family connections in India, think the Grandfather was in the British Merchant Navy as a officer married a Mary Perry an Anglo, and my grandfather Joseph Fredericks married Gertrude Arnold they came from Nagapatanam, Octacamund.
