George FRASER (born 1804, Dornoch, Scotland, died in St George, Grenada in 1855 ) travelled to Ceylon via Grenada (or other way around).  He moved for the Coffee production which ultimately stopped and then tea became the big thing in Ceylon, married ??, Had 5 children,

1. my great great grandfather GEORGE GUN/N FRASER, unknown dob (ca 1830) married MARIA CAROLINA GAETANA ROMANINI (daughter of Count Angelo ROMANINI & Rosa POLINELLI, Angelo was an Italian political exile, a member of the Carbonari ~ like Giuseppe Garibaldi: came with their family of 7 daughters to India via Turkey & Persia after the Austro-Italian war) in Negombo, Ceylon in 1856 and had 6 children:
2. WILLIAM SUTHERLAND-FRASER born 1858 (story is the oldest of each generation gets the Sutherland before their name because George Fraser's mother was a Sutherland woman as was his grandmother);
3. LOUISA REGINA FRASER born c1859;
4. GEORGE ROYSTON FRASER (this is where my dad got his middle name Royston from) born 1860;
5. ANGUS CHARLES FRASER born 1865;
6. ANNA MARIA FRASER born c1868
7. ROSA ALICE FRASER born 1871.

Next Generation

ANGUS CHARLES FRASER married ANN CECELIA FORDE and had 4 children

1. WILLIAM SUTHERLAND FRASER born 1902,
2. ANGUS HENRY FRASER born ? ca 1905,
3. BETTY FRASER
4. CHRISTINA FRASER

(nothing known about my grandfather's siblings, except Henry moved to Australia and died in 1968 in Sydney.  Amazing he was in the same city as my dad and they didn't even know each other.  Ah the joys of Colonial Families.

William Sutherland FRASER married Gladys Marion EDLEY (born 1909)  and had four children:

1. WILLIAM ROYSTON SUTHERLAND FRASER born 1930
2. MARIE FRANCES THERESE SUTHERLAND FRASER born 1932
3. ROSEMARY SUTHERLAND FRASER born 1934
4. MARY ANNE CHARMAINE SUTHERLAND FRASER

WILLIAM ROYSTON SUTHERLAND FRASER born 1930 married BEVERLEY FAYE STEANE and had 2 children:

1. LISA SUTHERLAND FRASER (me!) and
2. SALLY SUTHERLAND FRASER;

MARIE FRANCES THERESE SUTHERLAND FRASER born 1932 married KEN PEDDIE and had 2 children;

ROSEMARY SUTHERLAND FRASER born 1934 married ROGER SOMERVILLE and had 2 children

MARY ANNE CHARMAINE SUTHERLAND FRASER married IAN RITCHIE-LE MESURIER and had 2 children.
